1. BioValley, Basel

  1. Point system
    We have developed a point system [http://forum.biovalley.ch/scores.php] in the forum, in which users are awarded points each time they carry out any kind of interaction on the website. For instance, the system will allocate x points for every visit, x points for posting a new topic, x points for replying to a post, et cetera.

  2. Rating system
    We have customized PHPBB so that registered users can rate [http://forum.biovalley.ch/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=37] other users' replies that they have posted on a topic. This allows the forum to rank [http://forum.biovalley.ch/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=58] users using the ratings that they have received.

  3. Google AdSense integration
    Google AdSense was integrated into the forum [http://forum.biovalley.ch/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=37].

  4. Manual update
    Updated PHPBB 3.0.0 to PHPBB 3.0.1

  5. Address Book Import
    Ability for users to import contacts from Hotmail, Yahoo and G-mail mailboxes. These contact lists can then be used for inviting new users to the forum.

  6. Anchor links
    Users who put URLs in their posts, make the website visitor to leave the forum when clicking on those URLs. PHPBB was customized to ALWAYS open such URLs [http://forum.biovalley.ch/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=37] in a new window so that the visitor remains on the forum.

2. Living The Dream - A Forum for the property owners of the Polaris World Golf Resorts in Murcia, Spain

  1. Property Rental
    We have developed a property rental module in the forum, which allows users to upload detailed description about their rental properties alongwith a photo gallery.

  2. Rating System
    The property rentals are sorted on the basis of an internal rating system. This rating system is a function of the active participation of the user in the forum. In other words, users who are actively posting new topics and replying to existing topics get a much better score compared to the other non-active users.

  3. Administration
    The Forum administrator is provided with the modules to add/update/delete information available on the Property Listing module. Whereas the User Control Panel allows the forum users to specify details about their individual property that they want to list on the forum.


3. Walk Talk - The walkhighlands.co.uk outdoor community

  1. Munro Map
    We have developed a Munro Map module in the forum, which allows users to specify the Munros [Mountains] that they have climbed. This module usings Google mashup integration, which allows users to click on any marker [represents a mountain] on the map to view details about it.

  2. My Munro
    Once logged into the forum, the application allows you to view each individuals munro map. This map shows red markers for those mountains that are not climbed by him/her, and green markers depicting the ones climbed.

  3. Administration
    The Forum administrator is provided with the modules to add/update/delete mountain details. Whereas the User Control Panel allows the forum users to specify with ease the mountains that they have climbed.


4. Integration of PHPbb with other applications

  1. RedAlert Bro
    At RedAlert Bro we have integrated PHPbb with the CodeIgniter framework. The integration involved the Sign-up/Sign-in on the CodeIgniter framework to inevoke a parallel Sign-up/Sign-in in PHPbb.

  2. AliantCompany
    At AliantCompany we have integrated PHPbb with the PHPAuction framework. The integration involved the Sign-up/Sign-in on the PHPAuction framework to inevoke a parallel Sign-up/Sign-in in PHPbb.


5. Design Customization of PHPbb

    At AliantCompany we have customized the design of PHPbb to match the design of the main site.
