Firewall
penetrating VNC
The popular software VNC is used to access
and share files and to work remotely on your computer over
the internet from anywhere in the world. VNC lacks the ability
to access computers that are behind firewalls, as the VNC
in its current form does not allow connection to computers
that are behind firewalls, because the firewalls block all
outgoing connections. Also if a client is behind a firewall
then the VNC applet cannot connect to the outside world. We
came up with a solution to the problem and created a bridge
application in between to enable the VNC application to pass
through firewalls using an outbound http connection. Our application
is a plug-in to the VNC and it enables the VNC server to send
a outbound connection to the VNC client using a http server
thus penetrating firewalls.

anti-spam plugin
Outlook Express is a free tool for mail downloading from a
pop server, But little has been done to make an anti spam
tool for Outlook Express, the reason being that there is no
programming API which one can work with to create an anti
spam tool. We developed a new method where we created a windows
hook and com components and injected it into Outlook Express
hence enabling us to create a anti spam application. The resultant
application is a plug-in for existing Microsoft Outlook anti-spam
applications, which enables the Outlook anti-spam application
to work on Outlook Express.
Operating system tested on: Windows

Outlook Express versions supported: 5.0
+
Currently, several companies have anti-spam applications for
MS Outlook, but these do not work with Outlook Express, the
primary reason for it being that Outlook Express does not
expose any API for programming.
What
does Spam Defender plug-in do?
Typically a Spam based filter requires
a Spam folder and a toolbar. Further the application should
scan message contents and move messages from inbox or any
other folder to Spam and vice versa and also alert new message
arrivals. Our plug-in can be integrated with existing MS Outlook
anti-spam applications to make a complete Spam filter for
Outlook Express.

Spam Defender plug-in is a modular plug-in with which any

Pop
up Blocker
This application connects itself to each
open Internet Explorer browser window on the computer and
closes all the new IE child windows which open without any
toolbar hence effectively stopping all pop up windows from
opening on the screen. This also has a function where the
user can specify which web addresses pop ups are to be permitted
and on which ones pop ups are to be stopped.

History Eraser
When a user surfs the internet, all the sites visited are
logged and a log is created on the computer. Though the user
may remove the history and internet files from the Internet
Options dialog of the IE browser, the log is not deleted and
it still remains hidden in the machine. Our application removes
all sorts of logs, which can be seen, and even those, which
are hidden including the temporary file logs.
