2. SMS Gateway for a client in Kenya.
This is a Microsoft Visual Basic application that works
as a SMS gateway using GSM terminal. The software provides
two way communications to the user and interacts with various
kinds of databases to retrieve information as per the requirement
received by SMS. It sends the desired content to the specific
mobile phone as contact, calendar, SMS (7bit/8 bit) &
flash SMS using the GSM terminal. The software also supports
sending of messages in different languages.
The software can be made to work using GSM modems, SMPP
connection with a service provider or by a direct TCP/IP
connection to a Short Message Service Center (SMSC).
3. Phonebook Manager for a
client in Greece
The phonebook manager application is developed for all GSM
based Nokia devices and select Siemens devices. It syncs
all the details to and from the mobile phone memory including
personal info like e.g. Home number, Fax, Email Address,
and Address. It works with serial cable currently. Work
is on to make it work with IRDA. The lists of devices supported
are all Nokia 21xx, 62xx, 61xx, 7xxx, 3xxx and Siemens SL45.
4. J2ME/Symbian based application:
Work is on to create Symbian based phonebook manager which
will work exactly as the normal phonebook manager. This
is being developed using Symbian API.
5. SMPP based SMS gateway for a client in Indonesia:
The project involved developing an application
to send SMS by connecting to the SMSC over SMPP protocol.
The application sends all the messages including test messages,
ringtones, picture messages, flash messages, operator logo,
calendar and Vcard. The application was developed using
Logica’s OPEN SMPP API.
Client feedback: I would like to thank you for your
help to develop an SMS based application, and personally
I think you have an excellent team! Heman and Stani both
have excellent expertise and were very helpful and more
then anything, I can easily get in touch with them at anytime!
We did have some technical problems, but it's smoothly solved.
The project was done in time. And it's now running perfectly.
I work with the 4 largest GSM Operators in Indonesia, and
the software is perfectly handling our daily transaction.
Thank You.
Best Regards,
Steve C., Indonesia for SMS Gateway project.
6. Project: New Generation GSM Phone Applets
Details: This project involved developing an application
on the new generation Symbian based Nokia series 60 phones
for a client in Saudi Arabia. The objective was to ensure
that the phone remained silent during pre-determined timings
and dates by muting the ringer during these timings and
dates. The application involved developing a calendar based
application on these phones, using which the phone could
be set to silent mode during prayer times or other timings
when the user did not wish to be disturbed by the phone
ringing. The phone returns to normal mode on expiry of the
specified timing. This application was developed using series
60 API of Nokia phones for Symbian OS 6.1.
Symbian
Technologies used: OS 6.1, C++
Tested on: Series 60 devices.
